Carnal Knowledge case in Corozal Town

A U.D.P. town councilor from Corozal is in deep trouble tonight following serious allegations made by the father of a sixteen year old high school student. Corozal police told News Five today that they could not provide details of the case since the investigation is at an early stage. The claim is against Councilor Willie Cruz. According to the report, Cruz offered the minor a ride on Thursday evening. Once she into the vehicle, the minor realized that he had been drinking. Cruz allegedly headed in the direction of her house, but as they neared Consejo Village, she claims he diverted and drove her around on several back streets. The minor also claims that Cruz continued drinking and forced her to drink with him until she became intoxicated and fell unconscious. She woke up in the Finca Solana area, where Cruz allegedly assured her that nothing had happened. But once the minor relayed the story to her parents, she was taken to a doctor where it was confirmed that she was carnally known. The family of the teenager has filed a formal police report, but as we said, the police are not offering any details on this case.

If this is true it is very bad and he should be punished severely and at the least he should be charged with public intixication and offering alcohol to a minor. He should never even offer the girl a ride and she should have never accepted. At 16 years of age I would dear to say she knew what she was getting into but he is the adult but in his defence no one can force someone to drink and being carnally known is not evidence enough that it was him.
