Tingling charged for Carnal Knowledge

Twenty-three year old Jason Tingling, a resident of Gentle Avenue, was today arraigned on four counts of unlawful carnal knowledge after being accused of engaging in a series of sexual encounters with a minor dating back to 2010.  Tingling appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer in the company of attorney Ellis Arnold where he was read the charges.  It is alleged that on June second, 2010 Tingling had intercourse with a fourteen-year-old girl and continued a sexual relationship with her until November of last year.  During testimony, the teenager did not divulge the details of the incidents but maintained that it had been happening for almost two years.  No plea was taken from Tingling as the matter is an indictable offense, which can only be heard before the Supreme Court.  Bail was also refused and Tingling was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February twentieth.
