Two arrested in separate shootings
Police have made arrests in two recent Belize City shootings. Twenty-two year old Bejohn Martinez of Tibruce Street has been identified as the man who shot food vendor Silas Molina in an attempted robbery on the morning of August second, on Dolphin Street. Martinez has been charged with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Attempted Robbery. He is additionally suspected of several other robberies which police are investigating. Also arrested for a shooting in July was nineteen year old Mark Vernon of Faber’s Road. Vernon is accused of firing a handgun at Emilio Rivera and wounding him in the neck and shoulder. Vernon has been charged with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm.
