Shot on Amara Avenue, but still alive
A Waight Street man was injured on Tuesday night, in what appears to be a random shooting. Thirty-eight year old Luisito Urbina was walking on Amara Avenue when two men simply walked up and shot him. Public Relations Officer in the Ministry of Police, Raphael Martinez gave News Five further details on the incident and says it is the second shooting carried out with the same M.O. in that area.
Raphael Martinez, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Police
“Last night at about nine-fifty p.m., police visited the K.H.M.H where they saw one Luisito Manuel Urbina, thirty-eight years old of number eight Waight Street in Belize City suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen area. Initial investigation revealed that he was reportedly walking along Amara Avenue when two dark skinned men; one dressed in a red T-shirt and the other in a black T-shirt came from an alley that led into Amara Avenue and fired one single shot causing the said injury. At this time we have nobody detained as yet but again, police are asking the general public for their assistance once again for the apprehension of these two perpetrators.”
