Driver dead in Northern Highway road accident
A young man died over the weekend as the result of a traffic accident. Around midnight Sunday, twenty-nine year old Enrique Martinez lost control of the Nissan Xterra he was driving on the Northern Highway between miles three and four. It ran off the road and turned over, causing the fatal injuries. Martinez, a native of Corozal, was employed by Belize City businessman and U.D.P. chairman Doug Singh, and it was Singh’s car that he was driving. Martinez was attending a party at Singh’s house in the Driftwood Bay area and was on his way to a gas station on the Northern Highway to buy ice when the accident occurred. The funeral has been set for Wednesday in Corozal.
