Viewers; 67% say signatures deliberately rejected

A referendum on oil exploration organized by the Coalition to Save our Natural Heritage has been rejected. That’s because out of twenty thousand signatures collected to propel a referendum, eight thousand were disqualified by the Elections and Boundaries Department. It’s a suspiciously high figure and the reason given for the mass rejection was over poor penmanship. So we asked on Tuesday if our viewers believe that it was deliberate to disqualify the eight thousand signatures to prevent the poll. Sixty-seven percent believe it was intentional while thirty-three percent do not. The method of evaluating the signatures was scrutinized on our blog and one comment was “People’s signature change over time… some get married, some get divorced etcetera. Voters who participated need to know why they were disenfranchised because obviously, the people want a referendum.”

The Elections and Boundaries Department are gangsters as simple as that, even if one cannot write placing X as a signature should be enough if the name is printed next to the mark X

Guys don’t be surprised when on election day, the Elections & Boundaries Dept has done our job and marked all the ballot papers for us already… That’s how our democracy works.
