Contestants vie for place in karaoke competition
Nineteen past finalists have returned for a shot at a ten thousand dollar cash prize and tonight a baker’s dozen of challengers will be added to the mix, making their own bid at what can unabashedly be called fame and fortune. News Five’s Kendra Griffith has the dish on tonight’s first live episode of Ultimate KTV.

Tonight twenty contestants will take to the stage at the Bliss Centre, all vying for one of thirteen available spots on Ultimate KTV.
During the auditions the singers were critiqued by permanent judge Jennifer Lovell, but as of today they’ll be facing a jury of three.
William Neal, Host, Ultimate KTV
“The judges will have that difficult task of narrowing it down, but I expect a lot of people to bring their A game. It’s not going to be like the auditions where people came in uncertain as to what to do. I think tonight definitely you can expect abridged versions of the song, but definitely more intense performances.”
You’ll have to tune in to Channel 5 or come out to the Bliss to see who those other judges are. The crooning starts at nine and with tickets going for only two dollars a pop, they have been selling fast. But just as excited as the singers is Ultimate KTV host, William Neal.

“Of course I am psyched, but generally what I do is go home and relax, blank my mind, come with no expectations and with the understanding that anything can happen and probably anything will; it’s live television after all.”
