  1. belizeanpride says:

well what options do we have since the previous one did the same

  2. coral Black says:

People been doing that for 100s of years.

  3. J C Guerra says:

I would still vote for he UDP; they deserve a second chance the same way we gave a second chance to the PUP in 98. If they haven’t perform well is because they spent most of the first term cleaning the mess of the PUP.

  4. Inspire says:

Its not the mess that they are cleaning, If we keep voting in and voting out we will keep cleaning mess because the other party keep thinking and saying the other did wrong. Fact is the PUP had to clean UDP mess in 98 too, why do you think the superbond was so high, UDP racked it up too. Did we have a choice when hurricanes were hitting and people kept asking for a stimulation to create jobs? Fact is, PUP was better at creating jobs and having a relationship with the public. UDP is a tight belt take it or leave it party, all for me and my family. Im not going to vote for them again! Why should we tighten our belts and accept excuses from a lawyer who does not know how to run a country, when they are getting wealthier and we are being victimized, robbed out of our tax dollars, and punished for speaking out against them!

Lets end this big mistake we made call UDP!

  5. Santa Elena Resident says:

Why vote for a government that has failed the people? Voting again for them would further sink us into this abyss of despair that we find ourselves in. They have proven that they are incompetent for the past 4 years so imagine what will happen if they get another term. God help us!!!

  6. subKonshus says:

They all know that elections are held every 5 years. Therefore they need to set in there manifesto projects and goals that are deliverable within that time period. Every project can be divided into timelines. And this is how national and municipal projects should be presented to the people, so that at the end of their term they can be judged accurately on their achievements. For example, you can’t pave all the farm roads in the country within 5 years. So don’t make that dumb promise to the people. Instead, just say you will pave the farm roads for the caneros. Then focus on that promise during that period. At the end of 5 years, the people will see that you did what you said you would do for the farmers. Then during the next campaign period, you have solid reference to stand on, and then people will believe your other tangible goals. When we vote for government who don’t deliver, we do injustice to ourselves. Because the the politicians will decide that they don’t have to deliver on the goods and services they promised, it only has to look good on paper.

  7. belizeanpride says:

i agree with you J C Guerra give the reds a second chance if they fail then we can send them packing for another ten yrs.

  8. indy says:

I agree with Belizeanpride and Coral Black- What other options do we have. The Pup came and did the same thing.
I also agree with JC Guerra- I would give them another chance to redeem themselves. This time I want them to have a debate. PM vs PM. Also I would like to know before hand who is taking ministries responsibilities. So that they can debate among each other. Can someone do this pretty please. Maybe Channel 5 can organize this, have two rounds of debate.

  9. ABC says:

…… If u wanna talk about giving a chance, think about people like Fred Hunter, we are in this mess thanks to ourselves who stay voting in and voting out and being taken for big @$$!@#$% all the time. If u thief a banana once, u think they gonna give u a chance to redeem??? Stop dreaming.

  10. Santa Elena Resident says:

Second chance??? What are you people talking about? You must be relatives of the Prime Minister who are benefiting somehow since its only his family members along with the Ministers family members who are benefiting. Just ask incompetent Montero and his family. You must be living in your own dream world for you all not to see what is happening in our country. No Jobs, Crime rate going up, high cost of living and imagine another 5 years of this? Lets be real. Vote for anyone else other than these clowns!!!

  11. Elgin Martinez says:

I,wouldn’t but most of my brainwashed Belizean brothers and sisters would.

  12. Teresita says:

We should stop and look around before we voice our opinion if yu dont vote dont lamemt as you have no say all politicians makes promises al over the world common sense they cannot deliver especiallt when thry find a mess that they did not create and the better lie win its we the voter should think pup ruled for years after years they all get rich and one is trying to get richer both parties do good and bad no party give me nothing and i owe them nothing but as a citizen i will vote as that is my obligation as a citizen mr finnigan has his faults but there is a lot of good in him and not only him stop criticing you oponent and fucuss on what you can do for you area and for beautiful belize to make belize what belize use to be let us pray to god that on eletion day we make the right choice and think on the lale president kennedy words ask what we can do for our country not what your country can do for us be independent as mr price is at rest he spoiled the people he was man and no one is like him not even his relitives so god bless belize

  13. murphy says:

J C Guerra, belizeanpride, indy r u out of your mind. WTF, this current government doesn’t deserve another chance. Another chance for what, to continue filling their pockets with taxpayers money, i no think so. I agree with Inspire, PUP had to clean UDP mess when they came into office in 1998 when the then PM was Manuel Esquivel aka VAT MAN. UDP has a reputation of carrying the country’s economy down, for some they might see ok, but those are the family members of ministers who are benefiting directly!! Watch this UDP government, here in the North, caneros in a whole received help from Fair Trade to fix “Sugar Roads” n what GOB did, take the money and instead using the money for what it was send to; GOB used the money to fix streets from villages when GOB suppose to have provide for that not Fair Trade monies!!

  14. Storm says:

Of the major parties, one is bad and the other is worse.

We need new leadership, new parties, and a new patriotic spirit of giving to the country, not taking from it.

“Think not what your country can do for you, think what you can do for your country!”

I wish a Belizean leader had said that, but it was President John Kennedy of the States.

  15. Elly says:

Personally I don’t vote party rather i vote for whom i think can make a positive difference in my community and country. Four years ago I voted for the UDP. This time around I can’t see myself repeating this. Am a business person and sadly last year I was forced to close down one of my businessses because of economic hardships. Look around u ppl things get Haaaaad out here. Am not the only one crying. UDP had four years to turn things around if even just a little but were unable to pull it off. Am surely not going to give them another chance to take us farther down the crapper.

  16. Cayo Resident says:

Santa Elena Resident are you out of your mind. Montero has done a lot of work in Santa Elena and the surrounding villages… but with your ignorant attitude I am sure you can’t see that. At any rate, the people will decide on March 7th but until then you should refrain from using derogative language against someone else but I guess we can’t expect much from ignorant people like yourself.
