2 persons shot on New Road

While NICH and the Museum do their best to preserve our heritage, there are those on the streets who have little value for artifacts or even the preservation of life. On Tuesday night a lone assassin with a loaded nine-millimeter handgun was on the prowl; his targets were two men in the New Road area. Just after seven o’clock the armed man unleashed a barrage of bullets at Raynard Grinage and Michael Wade, who both ran for their lives leaving behind a trail of blood. The men survived the attack. While Grinage was only shot once, Wade was hit three times and was rushed to the emergency room. Today, Raphael Martinez, the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Police, gave News Five an update on the investigation.

“Just after seven o’clock last night, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw one Raynard Grinage, thirty- eight years old of a Fabers Road address, suffering from what seems to be an apparent gunshot wound to his right hand. A little later on, police also visited the Belize Medical Associates where they encountered one Michael Wade, forty-nine years old, who was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; specifically to his abdomen, his arm and also his right shoulder. Initial investigations revealed that just around seven o’clock last night, they were standing up at the corner of Pitts Alley and New Road when an unidentified gunman rode by and fired several shots in their direction causing their injuries. Police has since retrieved seven nine millimeter shells from the location and we have also detained two persons for questioning.”

“And do you know what is the condition of Mr. Wade who was shot three times?”

Raphael Martinez

“The last report we got is that he is stable at this point.”

Michael Wade has been transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was admitted this morning.

This is not about politics, its about genocide. The youths of Belize need to wake up and realize the plan; poor people are killing poor people world wide. The bigger heads sit back and watch this because they are paid to! youths need to realize there is nothing positive in violence. Mr politician create factories to employ the youth.
