Two charged in city stabbing

Story PictureAs the victim of a vicious stabbing over the weekend continues to recover at the K.H.M.H., this afternoon two men were formally charged with the crime. Around two on Sunday morning, twenty-one year old Jermaine Jones was stabbed an incredible sixty-eight times while on Gibnut Street. Subsequent police investigations have resulted in the arrest of brothers, eighteen year old Francisco Parham Miller and seventeen year old Derrick Parham. Both teenagers appeared before Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie this afternoon where they pled not guilty to Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm. The matter has been adjourned until the seventeenth of August.

In related news, Francisco Parham was additionally charged with robbery in connection with a report made by nineteen year old Charles Fortune. According to Fortune, while at the corner of Dolphin and Armadillo Streets on July twelfth, a man he recognized as the accused walked up to him, pointed a gun in his face, and demanded his cell phone and Ipod. Fortune handed over the electronics and the gunman fled on foot. Police arrested Francis Parham on Monday afternoon in the parking lot located behind the Supreme Court building. That case has been adjourned until August fourteenth.
