P.N.P. says voting areas are not optimal in the South
In the south, Will Maheia, the leader of the People’s National Party and deputy leader of the Belize Unity Alliance today dispatched a letter to the Chief Elections Officer to complain that polling stations in the Toledo East Constituency are impractically located. Maheia says that if not rectified, voters in the constituency will be disenfranchised. He points out that voters in Madabush Point, which is located one mile from Barranco Village, are expected to vote in Cattle Landing Village which is twelve miles away. In the Sarstoon area, which is approximately two miles from Barranco Village, voters must travel all the way to Crique Sarco which is thirty-four miles away while voters in Santana Village must travel to Cattle Landing Village, while passing an existing polling station in Forest Home Village. As for voters in Boom Creek, they are to travel to Cattle Landing Village which is eight miles away, when Punta Gorda Town is closer. Maheia also says that the road to the village of Dolores is impassable, preventing many voters from getting to the polling station.

Typical UDP using their power to bully the system and sabotage the election. Let’s make the sacrifice to go out and vote my Belizean people…It is worth knowing that we will get rid of King Dean and the corrupted UDP
Good job Wil. This is all a ploy to prevent those that may vote against the current regime have it much harder to cast their vote!
