11 year old girl claims abduction, rape

Details are sketchy tonight, but police are investigating a disturbing allegation involving the rape of a minor. Authorities say an eleven year old has reported that sometime between four and five on Monday evening she was not only kidnapped, but taken to an area in Belize City where at least one of her abductors raped her. Initial police reports are that the child was walking alone in an area by Youth for the Future Drive when two men in a small four door red car put her in the vehicle and drove off. The girl reports that she was taken to an area near Bird’s Isle where she was raped. The young victim was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where a medical examination confirmed sexual activity. Police are asking anyone with information to please call them or Crime Stoppers.
