Another person busted for Aggravated Burglary

Percival Blancaneaux

Taylor’s Alley resident, twenty year old Percival Blancaneaux Junior is tonight behind bars on a charge of Aggravated Burglary. The charge is in connection with a home invasion on the Northern Highway that occurred on January twenty-fourth, but police captured Blancaneaux over the past weekend. The victim, forty-eight year old Esmeralda Glastonbury, reports that she and her husband were asleep when at around four o’clock in the morning, she awoke to find two men inside the house; both armed with knives. The couple was tied up while the men stole over eighteen thousand dollars in items including cash, electronics, rum, a chainsaw and their Isuzu Rodeo SUV. In court, the police prosecutor objected to bail based on the seriousness of the crime, which carries a minimum penalty of ten years in prison and because the victim positively identified Blancaneaux as one of the attackers. Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith upheld the objection and remanded Blancaneaux into custody until May eighth. Police have since recovered stolen vehicle but are still looking for the second suspect.
