Kings Park grocery hit by robbers
Belize City police say they have in custody one suspect after the young man’s description matched those given by eyewitnesses following a brazen robbery at a King’s Park grocery. Details are sketchy, but the police report that the crime took place around ten this morning on Third Street in the Kings Park Area. In that attack, the shop’s security guard was hit in his head with a gun. Stolen from the premises were a number of phone cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
