Dates finally set for last two P.U.P. conventions
In news from the world of politics, the People’s United Party has finally announced the dates for its last two constituency conventions. Belize Rural Central voters will gathers on Sunday, June twenty-fourth in Hattieville to select their standard bearer. According to P.U.P. Secretary General Henry Usher, incumbent representative and Minister of Home Affairs Ralph Fonseca will be making an announcement shortly informing constituents of his plans. Should he choose not to run, it is believed that Dr. Cardo Martinez and former Minister Dolores Balderamos-Garcia are interested in the job. Meanwhile, in Belmopan, where former standard bearer Moises Cal resigned amid accusations of money laundering in Panama, a convention will be held on June twenty-sixth. Acting C.E.O. of the Social Security Board, Rolando Zetina, is expected to be endorsed as the P.U.P. candidate.
