Two men charged for robbery of Global Consultants

Story PictureTwo men were charged in connection with Tuesday’s robbery of a business located a short distance from the Queen Street Police Station. At eleven-twenty a.m. on Tuesday two men armed with a handgun held up four employees of Global Consultant Services at the corner of New Road and Hydes Lane and robbed them of cash and jewelry. Twenty- three year old Randy Green, a caretaker of number fifty- five Kelly Street and twenty- nine year old Chadrick Tingling, a laborer of number nine Card’s Alley in Belize City were charged with four counts of robbery by Magistrate Sharon Frazer. The string of charges were for the robbery of cash, cell phones and jewelry from Sonia Contreras, Racquel Matute, Shane Atis and Delicia Arjona. Green and Tingling pleaded not guilty to all charges. They were unrepresented and spoke on their own behalf. In addition to claims of innocence, Tingling alleged that while at the police station he participated in two identification parades in which he was not positively identified by any witnesses. Bail was denied due to the nature of the offense and both men were remanded until their next court appearance on October ninth.
