April was the deadliest month for murders
A month ago, we reported that in the first few months of 2012, murders were down by eight when compared to same period in 2011. But it appears that the criminals are playing catch-up. With the passing of shooting victim, Frank Vasquez today, the murder count is now at a total of forty-five. That’s only three less than the forty-eight that were recorded by May ninth in 2011. Since our last statistic report on April eleventh, there have been sixteen murders added to the list. In fact, April was the deadliest month the country has had in years, with a record high of twenty-one murders, fourteen of which were committed in the Belize District. The first two female victims of the year were also murdered last month.

Well, the killers have an unfair advantage this year, because they had an extra to pad their bloody totals — it’s a Leap Year, and they worked on February 29.
Thank God for the government paying gangsters to keep the peace, or it could get dangerous on our streets!
Seriously these murderous totals are disgraceful, and all the argument we need to put BDF on the streets and expand GSU operations. The gang truce is a cruel failure — and it will take cruel measures to crush the killers and gangsters.
this coalition government (UDP/GSG) is not working for honest hard working people of Belize.only crminals, gangleaders and lawyers laughing all the way to the bank!!
