U.B. Freetown campus hit by thieves

Story PictureThe University of Belize is the latest educational institution to suffer a break-in. According to a police press release, on Wednesday morning the library assistant at the Freetown Road campus filed a report that sometime between five p.m. on Tuesday and eight Wednesday morning its Engineering Resource Centre was burglarised. Stolen from the room were four Dell computers valued at sixteen thousand dollars. Authorities are asking the general public to refrain from purchasing the stolen items and if approached by sellers, to please contact the university, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 0-800-922-8477.
