Independent expert appointed in B.E.L. review
An independent expert has been appointed by the Public Utilities Commission to offer input in the Annual Review Proceedings for Belize Electricity Limited. He is Dr. Paul Sotkiewicz of the University of Florida. Under the terms of the P.U.C. regulations, Sotkiewicz will review the initial P.U.C. decision and deliver his report within twenty days. Following the submission, the P.U.C. will issue its final decision on new electricity rates and related policies, which will be effective July first.
