Good news at the fuel pumps as prices take a dip
Fuel prices have gone down internationally which means that with the arrival on Wednesday of the latest fuel tanker in Belize, there’s a change in fuel prices at the pump effective today. Mercifully, this time it’s good news for drivers. Premium gasoline, which was all the way at twelve dollars and twenty-four cents, took the biggest dip, going down by eighty-one cents. That puts the new price per gallon at eleven dollars and forty-three cents. The price of regular fuel went down by forty-one cents to now sell for ten dollars and ninety-seven cents per gallon. Meanwhile, the cost of diesel decreased by forty-six cents, bringing it to ten dollars and thirty-one cents. A release was issued by the Ministry of Finance announcing the new prices; it also says that any future changes in acquisition costs will be passed on fully to consumers.
When are you going to learn and understand that 81cents or whatever cents fall in gas prices is just noncents(nonsense). We pay excessive energy prices because Barrow’s GOB rip us off at least $5. for each gallon. We have crude oil. Barrow could trade crude in sufficient quantities for refined products for $1.50 per gallon and still maintain a profitable export crude market. What is this idiot and his absurd advisors thinking? It is absurd that Barrow has not shown any inclination that he understands how to run an economy albeit as tiny as Belize economy is. The solution to the dpression in Belize is not donations from Commonwealth Funds or CDB but local capital investments in ourselves. When are you going to learn?
No matter who is the Prime Minister of the country, there will always be people talking against him. I was disapointed by both the UDP and the PUP, fuel prices will always be going up.
