Police Department announces promotions, new assignments
There were some major changes in command at the Police Department announced today. Four senior women listed among those promoted include Senior Superintendent Yolanda Murray, Superintendent Louise Willis, Assistant Superintendent Desiree Philips and Inspector Corrine Jacobs. Meanwhile Assistant Commissioner of Police Crispin Jeffries has been transferred to Belmopan as the Commander of Operations. Jeffries replaces Assistant Commissioner Edwardo Wade who is retiring after more than thirty years of service. Succeeding Jeffries is his deputy, Senior Superintendent Allen Whylie. Acting Senior Superintendent Chester Williams is now the Deputy Officer commanding Eastern Division. Assistant Superintendent Aaron Guzman will head the Crimes Investigation Branch in Belize City.
