Cayo drowning victim is local teenager
Police have identified the drowning victim whose body was found yesterday in the Mopan River near Santa Familia. He is fourteen year old Victor Maheia. According to witnesses, Maheia was swimming with friends when he went under and did not come up. A search led to the discovery of the body nearby. Police do not suspect foul play.
