2 men charged following a domestic dispute
Deshawn Dawson
Two men were charged today following a domestic dispute on Tuesday. First, twenty-eight year old Deshawn Dawson was charged with Aggravated Assault upon his common-law-wife Vanessa Westby for allegedly pulling a gun at her. He pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. Dawson was also told that on June twentieth, he must appear before the Belize Family Court regarding a restraining order that Westby has requested.
Jorge Velasquez
The second person to be arraigned before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stuart was thirty-one year old Jorge Velasquez, who reportedly came to Westby’s aid during the dispute. He was charged with Aggravated Burglary for entering Dawson’s house, armed with a machete. Velasquez also pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of five thousand dollars. He is due back in court on July twenty-sixth while Dawson is to return on the twenty-seventh.

i dont think jorge was bulglarising the premessis i think if the court and the police have commom sence you can easely see that he was jus trying to help the woman comman some times the police in belize dont have commomsence if it was one police in that time what they will call it hero of belize ???????? in what king of world we are living .
