Obtaining Property by Deception expert strikes again
Also in court today, Magistrate Tracy Sosa heard a case of Obtaining Property by Deception and the woman in the hot seat was thirty year old Gina Kelly Conorquie. It appears Conorquie got overly busy on August third and she is accused of deceiving three women out of cash in separate incidents, all on the same day. The first unsuspecting victim was Marcy Dawson, who was scammed out of ninety-two dollars. Next, Conorquie preyed on Rashela Thomas and did away with four hundred and twenty dollars. And with over five hundred dollars in her pocket already, Conorquie moved on to Angela Yacab, from whom she stole another two hundred and fifty dollars. In court, Conorquie pleaded not guilty to three counts of Obtaining Property by deception and was offered bail of two thousand five hundred dollars plus a surety of the same amount and is due back in court on October nineteenth. But instead of walking out of court, Conorquie was further detained because she had a four thousand dollar fine outstanding from 2008 on similar charges brought against her in San Pedro. She managed to cough up the cash but that wasn’t the end of it. Conorquie was then handed over to Dangriga police because a bench warrant was issued for her immediate arrest. She has failed to appear in court down south for Theft and, not surprisingly, Obtaining Property by Deception charges. When police finally caught up with, Conorquie pulled a fast one and escaped from custody after she was denied bail in that case.
