South Korea donates four vehicles to Police Department
The Belize Police Department has four new vehicles at its disposal tonight, thanks to the Republic of South Korea. According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, South Korea has donated three 2007 Ssang Yong Diesel pickup trucks and one Hyundai van. According to the release, the gift is the product of “excellent diplomatic relations” and is testament to a commitment of cooperation by both Belize and South Korea. The vehicles are not the first generous gift from the country as in December 2005 the republic also donated a million dollars towards the construction of two school buildings, one in Yo Creek Village in the Orange Walk District and a second in the Pickstock Division in Belize City.
