Burglary victim offers $5,000 reward
A Belize City businessman who was victimized by robbers earlier this month has offered a reward for the return of his property. According to Dean Fuller, sometime between April thirteenth and April sixteenth, a thief or thieves broke into his Buttonwood Bay home and stole jewellery, household items, and a safe. The culprits then appropriated Fuller’s 2005 B.M.W. to make their getaway. Tonight a reward of five thousand dollars is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the missing vehicle and belongings. According to Fuller, since news of the reward was publicized he has only received one promising tip from a Customs Officer in Corozal. Fuller says the man told him that during the week he was offered a bribe to arrange for the vehicle to be taken into Mexico for sale. The information was relayed to authorities, but up to news time the luxury S.U.V. was still missing. If you have any information about the burglary and car theft, please contact the nearest police station, CrimeStoppers, or Fuller at 610-3250.
