Victim fingers shooter before he died, but girlfriend claims to be alibi

The latest murder in Belize City took place on Sunday morning when twenty year old Myrick Crispin Gladden was gunned down in the Lake Independence Area. police have swiftly arrested nineteen year old Tevin Andrewin, who was formally charged late Tuesday evening for that Murder. Andrewin appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann Marie Smith and after the arraignment he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison. Outside the courtroom, Andrewin’s girlfriend told our court reporter that he could not have committed the murder and that she is his alibi witness. She claims that she has visited the police station to inform them that Andrewin was out clubbing with her at the time of Gladden’s murder, but none of the officers would take a statement from her. The shooting took place shortly after midnight on Sunday when Gladden was walking with twenty-seven year old Shyiana Allen and twenty-four year old Richard Wade. They were reportedly approached by a single gunman who fired several shots in their direction. Gladden was shot several times on the chest, shoulder and back while Allen was injured on her left calf. Both were taken to the K.H.M.H., but Gladden passed away at around one-thirty a.m. The motive for the murder has not yet been determined, but reports are that Gladden named Andrewin as the shooter before he passed away. Andrewin is to return to court on July twenty-seventh.
It is hard to imagine that a dying man would lie about who murdered him. If there is a “dying declaration,” it carries a lot of weight.
If the girlfriend is lying to protect a murderer, after careful investigation she, too, should be charged with all appropriate charges.
People need to fear giving false witness in the Jewel. It’s the basis of justice in the courts.
i dont see why the deceased, on his death bed, would have a reason too lie……however, if this young man was indeed the the killer, i cannot believe that his girlfriend have the guts to go and, literally, defend him.
Hang all murderers
If this girl friend is found to be giving false statement to the police I say charge her for giving false statement to the police. I would think the dying man would know who shot him. I guess they believe no witness means no charges. The girl friend should be careful, he could turn against her and kill her too.
I will not protect my man if i know that he was the one who shot the two guys and now one of them are died, i love my freedom.

yeah that girl was out clubbing with him,but why they have him as a murder suspect?
