K.H.M.H. says audit exonerates it from allegations
The special audit of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (K.H.M.H.) has been completed. A former employee became a whistleblower alleging improper procurement practices of supplies and drugs and irregular uses of the KHMH credit card and contracts to international companies. The Prime Minister ordered the audit following the allegations made by Delroy Herrera. The areas investigated were foreign purchases, local and international contracts, inventory processes and use of the corporate credit card. A K.H.M.H. release says, “The Board of Governors of the KHMH is pleased with the outcome of this most recent audit, which completely exonerates the administration of the hospital, and is also grateful for the recommendations made by the Auditor General. “The actual audit has not been released to be analyzed by the public; however, the K.H.M.H. administration says that copies of both the Special Audit Report and the K.H.M.H. Administration’s response in the form of an Addendum to the Report will be released to the media in the near future.
