Corozal cops net 5.8 kilos in cocaine bust
Corozal cops are patting themselves on the back tonight following a cocaine bust on Thursday. According to police, around seven forty-five last night officers on mobile patrol spotted two vehicles parked on South End road. As the cops got closer the cars sped off in different directions. The police decided to follow one of the vehicles, a light blue Geo Prizm. After a chase through the streets, the officers caught up with the car and immediately detained the driver, forty year old Corozal resident Hugo Dominguez. A search of the vehicle led police to a large bag of Pedigree dog food. A closer inspection inside revealed a pink gift bag that contained five point eight kilos of suspected cocaine in six parcels. Dominguez has since been detained pending charges of drug trafficking.
