Road to Jalacte experience mudslide
The road to Jalacte Village, near the southern border in the Toledo District had to be closed after a mudslide on Sunday night. The road is currently undergoing infrastructural upgrades, being done by Cisco Construction. But one of the hills in the area that were cut through as part of the works collapsed, presumably due to rains. The treacherous craters did not claim any life and the work continues despite the new challenge.

For: the responsible public works engineering design group and/or the contractor that did the construction; pass it on to them.
Mudslide? From a technical standpoint and based on the photo above, the situation looks more like the expected outcome from creating a tall, steep, unreinforced slope. Slope stability analyses should always be performed during your roadway design.
