Husband stabs “Joe Grind” caught in act
While investigators in Succotz are still trying to determine the motive behind the chopping, their counterparts in Dangriga know exactly why a Steadfast villager was stabbed in the wee hours of Holy Saturday. Apparently, twenty-five year old Rosa Requeña and twenty-one year old Isais Larios were at home asleep when Requeña’s common-law husband, and the father of her three children, forty-three year old Jose Vasquez showed up at the front door. One of the children let him inside and Vasquez was none too happy to find Larios in his bed. According to Requeña, the enraged man pulled out a knife and stabbed her boyfriend twice in the chest. She also received a cut when she tried to help Larios. Both victims were rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital where Requeña was treated for a wound to the right arm and released, but Larios remains hospitalized in a serious condition. Vasquez has since been charged with attempted murder and dangerous harm.
