Kenrick Williams gets life in prison for strangling 16 year old girl
Thirty-four year old Kenrick Williams, convicted of strangling sixteen year old Elia Gonzalez to death in 2004, has been sentenced to life in prison. Gonzalez, a student who was heading home to Libertad from school in Corozal Town, was accosted and dragged into some bushes where she was raped and suffocated with her shoe lace. On Wednesday, Justice Hanomansingh handed down a life sentence effective April fifteenth, 2012, the date that the April session of the Supreme Court commenced. The judgment comes after a twelve-member jury found Williams guilty of murder on July fourth, during a re-trial.
He should swing by his neck, but if he dies in prison, that is next best thing.
The first time a judge has done his job in Belize.
Super GOOOOOOOD!!! But, there are more to be charged. Please do the same for the others
At last someone convicted
The only reason why it was a sweeping victory for the DPP is because that the stupid fool announced in court that he indeed killed someone on that day. Nevertheless, justice served.
CRUELTY!!! JUSTICE WAS SERVED FOR ELIA GONZALEZ, IN MY OPINION!! KENRICK WILLIAMS SOUNDS LIKE HE HAD A REAL MENTAL PROBLEM…
Another CANDIDATE for THE PRISON FARM… aka… THE SUSTAINABLE REHABILITATION CENTER.

Finally a judge shows sides with society. But when will the hanging sentence be returned? Maybe we should take the law in our hands as is being done in San Ignacio.
