Chris Lowe pleads guilty to wounding Bert Vasquez
Twenty-eight year old Bert Vasquez was bludgeoned to the head last Thursday by Christopher Lowe, the father of thirteen year old Jasmine Lowe from Santa Elena. Jasmine is the young girl who Vasquez is accused of murdering; her body was found near a farm on the Cristo Rey Road on June eleventh. Vasquez was attacked when he was being escorted to the Magistrate’s Court in that municipality. News Five’s camera caught the incident as Lowe swung an umbrella at Vasquez, hitting him on the right side of the head. Reports are that Vasquez received at least six stitches for the wound. Lowe was immediately arrested despite resistance from residents and bystanders. He was charged with wounding. Today he was formally arraigned before the courts where he pleaded guilty and was fined five hundred dollars to be paid forthwith. Lowe made the payment and now awaits the trial against Vasquez, which is set to start on August fourteenth.
A just judge would have dismissed the charge or suspended any sentence. Six stitches compared to murdering his daughter?

We know you will not get Jasmin back.but at least you will hurt mami Vasquez pocket. Mr Ellis Arnold is very good you should look into it. Sue whoever comes in between you and this good for nothing. Vasquez may be many things, but until he is found guilty, he is entitled to the same treatment you and I would expect as Belizeans.
If I was ruler of the Belizean kingdom…….. Lowe and Vasquez would be locked in the same cell. Lowe could then take out his fury on Vasquez, and Vasquez could satisfy his rape urges on Lowe. Gawd, that sounds like a beautiful love story. Uncle Benji, you have a God’s mind.

Despite the fact that Vasquez have not yet been convicted for the brutal murder of Jasmine i totally understand the frustration of Mr. Lowe after losing his daughter. It is only human nature to react in that way; we would all react similarly if we lose a love one and we are face to face with the person alleged of brutally murdering him or her. Some of us might even end up in jail for doing what we believe is right…

What a slap in the face actually fined Chris Lowe for a that no good dog that killed his daughter, I know most people can totally understand what this man & his family is going thru murder of his innocent daughter .
Regarding the comments of this Uncle Benji he is either a sick person or has no regards to a human being suffering he needs to keep his sick comments to himself.
What justice is there in Belize for the victims while the murders are being protected.
I understand Mr. Lowe’s pain but the police were right to arrest him since two wrongs shouldn’t make a right and if Vasquez is guilty he should receive a really harsh punishment for the crimes he committed against that poor little girl …Let’s hope that justice will be served.

For a charge of $500.00, Mr Lowe needs more time with Vasquez, he did not get the pound of flesh he paid for. So called justice was served on Mr Lowe, I pray that the proper justice is passed on Vasquez.
