K.H.M.H. gets into the summer camp business
The annual K.H.M.H. summer camp culminated today with a ceremony held at the K.H.M.H.’s parking lot. It’s the second of its kind that targets primarily children of staff members and teaches them, not medical information on the public hospital, but rather skills in music, artwork and storytelling. At least twenty-five children attended the five-week camp; the campers received trophies, medals, certificates as well as some snacks. Director of Medical Services, Dr. Adrian Coye, was on hand to present the awards.

“It gives them something constructive to do and enjoy and create an area of comradery and greater sense of family within the K.H.M.H.”
Duane Moody
“I know it is a five week camp. Tell us what the children learned; what they did during those five weeks.”
Dr. Adrian Coye
“It was organized by our P.R. Personnel, Brenda Stuart and Miss Sheena Garnett. And they did music, artwork, drawing, storytelling and things like that. And I think it’s really just to create a safe environment to enjoy their vacation time and to learn to socialize in a constructive way.”
