Bicycle spoke used to kill Guinea Grass man
The weekend’s killing spree was not confined to the Belize district as on Saturday a stabbing resulted in the death of an Orange Walk man. According to police, around five in the evening, twenty-eight year old Roberto Patt had just gotten off a bus near his home in Guinea Grass Village when he and another passenger started to fight. Investigators say during the scuffle, the other man produced a sharpened bicycle spoke and used the homemade weapon to stab Patt in the chest. The victim was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Around noon today, police charged nineteen year old Joan Sebastian Perez, with murder. As for the motive behind the crime, police sources tell News Five the two men had a “misunderstanding.”
