Lynam sold to U.S. investors for bio-fuels project
The citrus war is not the only news coming out of the Stann Creek Valley. This week it was announced that a group of U.S. investors has reached agreement with the Belize Government to purchase one hundred and eighty acres of the Old Lynam College property to be used for a bio-fuels project. According to a press release form Blue Diamond Ventures, the company will start with the erection of a small bio-diesel pilot plant which it hopes will evolve into a much larger facility that will produce millions of gallons of bio-fuels for use in Belize and the export market. Price to be paid for the land is said to be just under a million Belize dollars.
