P.G. man detained for rape of stepdaughter
A fifty-three year old man has been detained by police in Punta Gorda following reports that he has been sexually abusing his twelve year old stepdaughter. The child reported to police, in the presence of a social worker, that at the age of nine she had engaged in sexual intercourse with a neighbour and since 2006 she has been doing the same with her step-father. He is expected to be charged despite a request from the child’s mother to discontinue the prosecution.
