Beating victim dies; assailant charged with murder
On Sunday morning, ten days after he was brutally beaten in the head, twenty-five year old Earl Bonner succumbed to his injuries at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. According to family members, Bonner never regained consciousness. Today the police arrested twenty-six year old Wyatt Anderson, the young man they believe inflicted the fatal blows, and charged him with murder.

“According to what we heard that there was drinking in the yard the night and a hard talk start and one of guy hit him with some object either a bat or a crowbar, that’s the information we got. Beside that we noh get anything but apparently it seems them mi want it to look like wah robbery because when the policeman went there bout two-thirty he was on the street in his lone boxers, so everything seems to be stolen.”

“What does the family want to see happen here? I understand that an arrest has been made”

“Yes, an arrest has been made and the police found the bicycle, his shirt and a key in the same yard where the thing happened. What we want is that at least someone should… an eyewitness should be around so we appeal that someone at least tell the police what happened because it seem that it was friend drinking together – apparently he count them as friend – so somebody should get up and say something.”
Following his court appearance, Wyatt Anderson was remanded to Hattieville prison until March thirteenth.
