Glenn Godfrey, Troy Gabb to appear in D.F.C. hearings

“My clients will be there.” That’s official word from attorney Dickie Bradley tonight regarding speculation on whether or not attorney Glenn Godfrey and former Chief Executive Officer of the D.F.C., Troy Gabb will be present at the public hearings of the Commission of Inquiry investigating the Development Finance Corporation. According to Bradley, summons were served on both men today as well as copies of the final report of forensic auditor Mark Hulse. The men were scheduled to appear before Co-Chairs Merlene Bailey Martinez and Justice Herbert Lord on February fourteenth, but Gabb sent a sick certificate to explain his absence, while Godfrey’s secretary maintained that her boss was out of the country. A release issued by the commission’s secretariat this afternoon indicates that the public hearings will resume on March fifth and continues on Friday, March ninth. It is expected that Gabb and Godfrey will appear on Monday, while former Minister of Finance Ralph Fonseca will respond to the commission’s questions on Friday. The hearings will be broadcast live both days right here on Channel Five.
