Terrifying home invasion; what were they looking for?

By mid afternoon, there was a horrific home invasion on Logwood Street, which may be linked to Monday night’s murder.  Seven heavily armed and masked men ambushed a woman who was alone at her house just before three p.m.  According to the victim, the men claimed they were looking for drugs. The gunmen held her at gunpoint, ransacked her house and stole jewelry, cell phones and other personal items. While she was not injured, the frightening experience happened in minutes and has left the victim, who was just about to go pick up her children from school, traumatized. Duane Moody reports.

This wooden home located at number thirty-eight Logwood Street; just a stone’s throw away from La Popular Bakery in the Belize City was the target of armed burglars. Just before three p.m., it is alleged that at least seven men—armed with high powered weapons and stockings over their faces entered the house and held up the victim.

Hmm. Did the invaders get the wrong place, or is someone in her family involved in dangerous business? That’s the selfishness of criminals, for a quick buck they can endanger their entire family.

Not saying that is what happened here, but inquiring minds want to know.

@marzz you are full of !@#$ .How does all the guns get in Belize? They come through customs and who is in charge of customs, the damn government.Allowing thier rich friends to pay them to bring in the weapons.Do you think they give a damn about Belizeans. They are selfish and only think about themselves and thier families.Poor people can’t afford to pay for light or water how the hell they will get guns into the country. It use to be the ruch get richer and the poor get poorer, but what is happening in Belize is a new ball game, the rich and ministers get richer and the poor kills each other. We need better laws, the government is to blame for that.We need a P.M. that does not negotiate of pay criminals or gangs.Gangs are illegal, anything group that calls themselves a gang is illegal and are supposed to be put away.I guess dean sees it differently,he doesn’t see gangs,he sees a gang of votes.Stop playing with politics with innocent hard working people lives mr. p.m. You started something that you wont be able to control.Call a next gang truce and arrest all the leaders and go after the little “dumb soldiers” who do the killing for them.I can’t believe that it is that hard to do just lock them down and throw away the key.All they do is make life a living hell for everyone else.
