Conrad Jones still missing

It has been twelve days since sixty-four year old Conrad Jones disappeared without a trace and there are still no clues on his whereabouts or what could have happened to him. Conrad’s relatives and police officers have combed the Hattieville area where he was last seen at around two-thirty on the morning of September thirteenth. The Customs Guard was returning from Benque Viejo and was dropped off in Hattieville after eleven p.m. to catch a bus or hitch a ride to Belize City. His daughter, Shilpa Jones, says it’s been tough time for the entire family, but the situation has been hardest for her mother, Conrad’s wife of thirty-five years. They continue to seek the public’s assistance and a cash reward is now being offered for information, whether he is dead or alive.

“Since the last time I spoke to the news media there have been different searches to look for my father. Up until yesterday there was another search and it yielded nothing. The family has attached a five hundred dollars reward for information leading to the recovery of my father but up until now, we still have not heard anything. My brother was out there yesterday. He was out there last week Thursday—I think September twentieth—he was looking on his own with different men and other people who helped with the search and they came up with nothing.”

“And you haven’t even heard any seh well we si ah yah or we si something?”

“No one has called. Again, I am appealing to the public that if they know something—it’s not to get them into trouble or anything, but we would just like the return out our father. Wherever he may be, whatever condition he may be in, we still would like him returned to us. So if anybody knows anything, we’re asking, we’re begging—we’re to the point of begging now—to please contact us, contact the police, even if it is anonymously, to say something. We would really, really appreciate it.”

“And how has the family been dealing with this, just not knowing?”
Shilpa Jones
“Well, I guess everybody is trying to go along in their own little subtle ways. I think the person that’s been taking it the hardest is my mom because she and my dad have been together for almost thirty-six years. So it’s kinda difficult waking up hearing her cry, every little noise in the night she gets up, thinking he is coming home. So we all take it hard but I think she is taking it the worst. So if there’s nothing else, I would like closure at least for her. It would hurt us, but I think she’s hurting more.”

“So at this point, do you all still have hope that he may be alive?”
Shilpa Jones
“Well, we do have hope. We do pray for miracles because we know God answers prayers. But if it should happen that, that is not the case, we will just have to accept it. We know that bad things happen to good people so if that’s the way it was to happen, it just happened; we just want closure, we just want to find out what happened so that we can close it off.”

“Do you know if there has been anything with Customs and the driver that left him?”
Shilpa Jones
“On our side, we don’t know anything. I think they have picked him up and asked him questions. I think they have been asking other people questions but we don’t really know. An ASP called and said that so far they have found nothing so we are just relying heavily on the public to please, please help us.”

I feel very sorry for this man’s family. The driver who left him there like that was heartless and negligent.
I pray for a good ending, but that seems pretty unlikely now.
This is so sad. Could it be that Mr Jones started to walk to the city and a wild animal got a hold of him. Maybe a tiger? Maybe the search parties shd consider that eh? Start looking for bits and pieces. Maybe a piece of material from clothing. Maybe he was thirsty and stop to get water. Alligator? I cannot understand how he just vanished. My prayers go out to his family especially his wife.
People nowadays just cold, mein. Following this story, I wonder how that Customs Driver manage to sleep at night. What was so difficult in going the extra 15 miles and take his fellow worker home, instead of abondoning him on the side of the road in the middle of the night?
Now the man missing. If he has any conscience, that Driver must be in mental turmoil because of being so heartless. Then again he might be resting dead easy…….
The police also need to question the person who saw him last sitting at the Bus stop. No one just vanishes into thin air. If you are working across the street and you see someone sitting at the bus stop at that time of morning would you not say something to them? Search up and down the highway because if he was walking and got hit by a car in the dark his body could fly into the bushes and no one would know, if the driver did not stop. Look for crows circling, that is also an indication of a possible search spot.
First was Mr. Jones armed? If so he could have been a target for his weapon.i don’t understand how a veteran Law enforcement officer can just disappear . Let us hope for the best.
