Sentenced to 12 years for robbing and stabbing his friend
The overwhelming evidence before the court against forty-three year old Henry Lauriano, aka “Tyson”, ended in a conviction and he was sentenced to twelve years imprisonment for robbing and stabbing his friend. The incident happened after a dominoes game when it is alleged that Lloyd George Griffith, aka “Ras Head” was robbed of forty five dollars on December twenty-eighth, 2011. In his testimony, Griffith told the court that at about eleven-thirty p.m., he and two friends and another man known to him as Williams were playing dominoes in an open lot on Amara Avenue. The young man known to him as Tyson or Henry approached him and asked for money, but he responded that he was broke. According to Griffith, that’s when Lauriano showed him a shiny object which resembled a knife. Griffith decided to go home and as he walked toward his home, Lauriano walked into his path, stabbed him on the hand and stole his cash. In mitigation, Lauriano asked the magistrate to be lenient even as he admitted that he and Griffith had been having problems for years. The magistrate told Lauriano that since he had no previous convictions, he would not impose a stringent term. For the offense of robbery Lauriano was sentenced to five years, while for grievous harm, he got seven years.
I’ll bet he would like to have the chance to reconsider what he did that night. A lesson for us all to control our bad impulses.
At least he didn’t “lie and deny.” I respect that.
If they would give sentences like these for rapes! For rapes they get off free!!! How can this be?
45.00 !!!!!. What in the world is going on in peoples coconuts like that. Wow !!!!! he only had to steal 45.00 and stab his victim on the hand. And now he is going to get free food, free hotel and free medical for 12 years. .
Little children who get away with their selfish impulses. Who is the dad or mom that is now looking back and feeling ashamed for not raising a child with a character. What a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But remember he got 45.00 richer instantly without doing something we call work.
