Over $15,000 stolen from Caye Caulker Water Taxi

There’s more news on the crime blotter. A security guard at the Caye Caulker Water Taxi Terminal is tonight in custody following the robbery of over fifteen thousand dollars worth of items from various stores inside the terminal. According to owner, Jose Marin, sometime between six p.m. on Sunday and five-thirty Monday morning, the terminal on North Front Street in Belize City, was burglarized and several items were stolen, including an HP laptop valued at fifteen hundred dollars, four cell phones and an assortment of cash in various currencies: one thousand five hundred pesos, eight hundred and fifty U.S. dollars, three hundred Guatemalan Quetzals, and eight thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven Belize dollars.  Due to no signs of forcible entry into the terminal, Belize City Security was detained.
