Another Aggravated Burglary; guise now a police officer?
Last week we reported on a suspicious aggravated burglary at the home of Central Bank Governor, Glen Ysaguirre on Coney Drive. That has been followed by another similar incident. Silbia Salam reported that she was alone at her Belize City home when a man, who identified himself as a policeman, knocked at the door. She was reluctant to open the door, but the man gained access by force and attempt to rape her. But Salam’s common-law-husband arrived at the residence in the nick of time. The assailant fled with her touch screen phone. Police Press Officer, Raphael Martinez tells us more.
Raphael Martinez, Police Press Officer
“A Belize City domestic worker reported that her attention as drawn by someone knocking at her door. The male person identified himself as a police officer. But when she managed to take a peek through a small opening on the wall and she saw a dark-skinned male person—approximately five foot six inches, medium built, shoulder length hair, braided with beard and mustache—and he was wearing a white undershirt and a black three quarter trousers. When she refused to open the door, the male person, reportedly stomped opened the door and approached her armed with a silver firearm resembling a point thirty-eight revolver. He then grabbed her, pointed a gun at her face threw her on the ground. Reportedly at the same time, her common-law-husband approached the residence and this would-be-rapist/robber made away only with her cell phone valued at three hundred and seventy dollars Belize. Police are still seeking this person.”
I hope he’s caught and castrated before he succeeds in raping some other man’s wife or daughter.
