Argument between brothers leads to Dangriga arson
A Dangriga man has been arrested after he burnt down a house belonging to his family. According to police, forty year old Luis Lambert set fire to a residence on Ganey Street around nine this morning. The house had been the subject of a longstanding dispute between Lambert and his brother, Fitzgerald, who reports that Luis had made numerous arson threats in the past. Firefighters were unable to save the cement bungalow, which was completely gutted by the flames. In the course of making the arrest, a police officer was attacked by Luis and the officer shot him in the leg. Following treatment at Southern Regional Hospital, Luis Lambert was detained pending charges of Arson and Aggravated Assault.
