San Pedro Western Union robbery caught on camera
Police in San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye are looking for two known suspects for the armed robbery of the Milo’s Center branch of Western Union situated at Ambergris Lake Villas. The incident took place shortly before three on Friday evening when two dark skin male persons, pretended as wanting to do a transaction, held up and hit the lone employee and made good their escape with the over three thousand dollars in cash and other belongings. News Five spoke to the well shaken employee, Bernice Gutierrez who explained what happened.
Ambergris Lake Villas Office which serves as the Western Union Branch in San Pedro was robbed on Friday afternoon. Surveillance cameras recorded the entire incident, including the robbery of three thousand dollars and the assault of the employee.

“The faces were detected by the surveillance cameras in the office. I didn’t really know the persons—like face or name or anything. And that’s what I reported.”
Bernice Gutierrez, understandably shaken, recalled the encounter with the two assailants.

“I was getting ready to balance the transactions I made that day. And I was sitting down counting the money just making sure that everything was right. Then two gentlemen came in; they kinda forced the door open because I usually have it locked due to the fact that I have money in there. So it kind of cautioned me a little, but the gentlemen came in and asked if I still do Western Union and I said yes. As they were looking for their ID, it was a surprise to me instead of an ID one of them took out a gun and the next one took out a knife and told me to make I hand them all the money. I told them that the money is here. You can take whatever you want just want to harm me. And then they pushed me against the wall and with the point of the gun, hit me on the side of my head and then with the bottom of the gun, the man punched me in the nose. And they just throw me to the floor. As I was on the floor, I was bleeding. They just took the cash I had; they took the laptop and my personal phone. Then before leaving they kick me like three times and then they went to the front but I really didn’t see which way they went. I just stayed on the floor lying down to be safe that they were gone. I just came out and luckily one of the guests at Ambergris Lake was entering the premises and I just asked him for assistance and he lend me his phone and therefore I called my boss and my dad. And from then the police just reach and investigate and saw the scene of crime.
The police are looking for two suspects; however, no arrests have been made as yet. Reporting for News Five, Jose Sanchez.
da balley definately GAY lol
Let’s see the surveillance video, then offer a reward for the robbers. There will be a race to turn them in.
Well to all the udp lovers in San Pedro this is happening because your pm barrow sent these gang members to live in San Pedro when he sent them to live in all parts of Belize so thank your pm for all these crimes happening ,all the San pedranos have moved away from god and have become corrupt gay and sinners this is why all these things are happening to you get back to your good ways and perhaps all these things will stop but this will continue because I know that pm barrow sent 19 gang members to live in San Pedro so now two will be gone but you have 17 more living next to you so expect much more violence .
Rod has his head up his rectum. Come to san pedro and look for the gay parade at carnaval and point out how many of these gays are san pedranos. The vast majority are transplants from the mainland, the sons and daughters of the same people who go around talking crap about san pedrano’s being gay.
Not that I have anything against gays but seriously get a clue before opening your mouth.
Dont think so Islander…..very large San Pedrano gay community very active there, personally think it is the way the kids are brought up there. Disaster awaiting to happen, nothing good happens when you break God’s laws.
Anyhow….Milo should of known better, the grocery store near by has two incidents of armed robbery reported (possibly last year). To have a Western Union sub office (and rent collection office for the villas) located in a quiet area with no form of security noticable……asking for trouble, no matter which district of Belize. Something not right in this story.
HE no gay people uno just wayyy offff….and he da no san pedranoo!!!!
@Common Sense. You are right. San Pedro has an active “Gay” community like any other town or city around the world. And it has nothing to do with the upbringing. The Gay community is hardworking, productive, creative and add a lot to each and every commuinty. But i know it will take years for wipe out the “backward” mentality of people like “Common Sense” and many more. I pray “because Gay people pray and also believe in God” that more people will realize that being Gay or Hetero should not matter. What should matter is that we..and i mean all of Gay and Hetero be productive and help each other out….
Did not want to be caught in this discussion, but since being addressed…
When can a homo be productive? There is nothing productive about that lifestyle that has the highest rates of suicide, diseases and drug consumption.
If not by upbringing, how does a person decide to be a homo? Don’t tell me “born that way” as that is plainly false.
How can a homo be God-fearing when breaking one of the major commandments issued from God in the Taurah, New Testiment and Quran?
So what the hell the incident has to do with the sexuality of the people that occupies the island… hell man the guy was hurt and a two criminals needs to be arrested for the arm robbery…. some of you guys talk F@($ery.
to everyone. the Devil is among us. doesnt matter where PM sent the gangs, God sent Devil to Earth. so he is all over with his followers. thats the only answer why so much violence. and wont stop. we are in the last days people. and violence affects the gays and straight people alike.
You make the most sense, Rebel.
They need to catch the robbers and punish them harshly. And don’t take any chances when arresting them, they are violent. I’d rather have the robbers die during arrest than have a policeman injured.
i think it is time to do what our central american country do take matters into there own hands because that is the only way they will see that we have had it with all these things happening not only in Sp but all over the country.
