Suspect arrested in Dangriga robbery
A Dangriga man has been arrested and charged following an armed robbery in the Stann Creek Valley. He is twenty-two year old Albert Palacio of Dangriga’s Lakeland neighbourhood. Around nine Wednesday night a lone intruder with a handgun entered the Quality Poultry compound at mile one and a half on the Valley Road and held up the manager and other employees. He left with a bag containing thirteen thousand dollars in cash and eleven thousand in cheques. When police arrived, they searched the area and found a bag of clothes matching the description of those worn by the robber. Included with those clothes were some personal items that led to the arrest of Palacio. The money, however, has yet to be recovered.
