“Robbery” waiting to be charged for foiled robbery

No charges have been levied in the foiled robbery attempt at Dits Restaurant on Wednesday afternoon. While the gunman, Aspinal Welch was shot and police have a second suspect detained, the two have not been arraigned. Welch, who is also known as “Robbery”, reportedly targeted a customer inside the restaurant, who was said to be wearing several gold chains. He fired at least two shots at the customer, but missed and his would-be victim returned fire with his licensed firearm. Welch was injured on both legs and detained until police arrived to arrest him. The customer is not expected to face charges for the shooting since he was acting in self defense.
