Independence Village rob the village

A string of robberies have occurred over the past two weeks in Independence and they may have been triggered by one burglar. On the thirteenth of November, a twelve gauge Remington shotgun was stolen from Michael Hobbs’ home. Hobbs, a US national, reported to police that he left the gun, valued at four thousand dollars inside his bedroom. Investigators in police believe Hobbs’ shotgun may have been used in two robberies that occurred on the fifteenth and twenty-first of November. In the first incident, the owner of the Nuevo El Buen Amigo Bar, situated at Lester Richards Extension, was held up by two men. Auro Noguerra reported that three men with masks and gloves entered the establishment at eleven-thirty p.m. and ordered all patrons to lie on the ground. While one man held a twelve gauge shotgun on the customers, another assailant took eighty dollars from the cash register and a total of seven hundred and fifty dollars from two customers along with a bicycle. A few days later on the twenty first, Wendy’s Shop, located at the corner of Amado Mena Avenue and Big Creek Boulevard also reported a similar incident. Xia Xia Zhuo, reported that two men armed with a twelve gauge shotgun, entered the shop and demanded money.  They took a cell phone, cigarettes and five hundred dollars cash before escaping. Police have since recovered three hundred dollars and have arrested and charged Independence Village residents Carl Thomas Thompson and  Anthony Steve Martinez for the crime of Robbery.  Officers are also seeking Marvin Neal for questioning.
