Junior on marijuana charge twice this week
The old adage says ‘Where there is smoke there is fire.’ and where there is Daniel Joseph James Junior, the smoke may have a wisp of marijuana. On Monday James was lucky because when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer for possession of one hundred and two grams of marijuana, his accomplice pleaded guilty and that charge was withdrawn. But James appeared before the Senior Magistrate once again today on another marijuana charge. Normally bail would be offered, but it turns out that the twenty-four year old owes the court one hundred and five dollars for a previous offence. Magistrate Frazer informed James that she doesn’t offer bail to persons who owe the court. He was remanded to prison and his drug trafficking case was adjourned until January twenty-fourth when bail will be re-considered on his behalf.
Good judgment, Judge Your Honor.
It’s a shame because this person never once saw his father smoke. His father is a good and upstanding person,I’ve known him for years, worked with him. This is a example of what bad company can do to our children that we struggle to bring up the right way.
